I Haven't a clue about alot of the new world stuff - unless from an area famous for something e.g Kiwi Sauv Blanc. Otherwise, my perception is a wine on offer is more likely to be average. What is more interesting is that the supermarkets seem to believe that price is the most important factor when buying a wine and not much else is considered by the average buyer. I definitely stay away from the half-price ‘bargains’ - once bitten twice shy ;)
